I got ceral today 5/$10.00. Poor college student am I. But hey I at least have the books I need coming through the mail, anyday. BTW, I like mail and letters:

It's been a very good day. Zach and his mother came and spent it with me. I got the food I need for breakfast as well as being able to be with my sweetheart. I've missed him a lot. This college experiance has really taught me that I am mildly shy around new people.

In summary of this week (after I finished writing on tuesday) It's been good. I much prefere College to High School. The teachers know the stuff, you are focused on school and homework, and maybe a job. But, you don't have to deal with if's or other silly excuses. You do it and you learn from it. I've enjoyed it so far. I like all of my teachers.

Pro. Erickson (College Algebra)- He is really nice. Not too hard and he takes math from the stand point that it is mean't to be enjoyable, not boring. We get homework everyday from his class; the next day we review any questions and the day after we turn it in. At the moment it's not terribly hard math. I am excited for the more exciting things.

Pro. Seipt (Sa-e-Pit) (Amer Civ 1700 +) Dude is amazing! He survived WWII in Germany as a young orphaned boy. Intershipped here and graduated from our High School system at the age of 15! He has a very funny sense of humor too. His class is one that I think I will struggle at. He really wants us to be an Analytical thinker and work past the obvious. So I will try my best.

Pro. Wright (Writing teacher--how Ironic) is the same as Seipt and really pushes to think deeper and analize more. His sense of humor is a little warped but thats ok.

and More to come... I still have to meet my Radio Pro. teacher.

Beyond that of school it has been a really HOT week. I can barely sleep it gets so hot. Plus my room is the first to get totally baked in the rising sun. (at 6 am I get blinded, it's like my own wake-up call.) Hopefully after the rain this weekend it will cool off.

I get really bored here as well. I've seen over 5 movies this week. (well at least bits and piece of 5 and 1 full one; "The Time Travlers Wife" and it was amazing. I cried the entire time.)

and then today. I ate a 6" sub, which was orginally my lunch yesterday from a footlong sub. Yummy but cold. and now off to a brand new weekend of homework and did I mention... A NEW JOB! It was my miracle of the week. I went up to the library to get my password changed and overheard a conversation involving a man trying to get more comp. Assis. In the comp. Lab. So as he got off the phone I told him I was looking for a job and I was more than willing to learn. He at first told me to apply online and then looked at me and said "Screw It" and handed me a yellow paper. Indicating I have a job. I am now a comp. lab assis. which is only about 10 hours a week but, it will get me through. So I am very excited.

Well I love all of you, I hope you all had a good first week at school.

Longest day here yet....

I am very tired. It's been a long day.

My Bad.

Manda and I stayed up until 2 am talking. We never had a chance so the first chance we get we blow getting extra sleep. *Laughs* it's ok though, it was nice being able to talk to a friend.

More On my Roommate:
Her Name is Jimreen. It's a combination of her parents names: Maureen and Jim. Jimreen. She is very nice. She is orginally from Micronesia and recently came to the states to stay with her Aunts family in Magna Utah. It should be really interesting to get to know her. You can tell she is shy and a little unsure but, I hope she can mix in with others here that are diverse.
Today's activities:
Woke up at 745am to see Hayden. He is adorable. (Congrats Dani and Welcom into the world Hayden) Zach and I texted until he decided he was mentally and physcally exhusted and fell asleep. [sidenote. I love him.] climbed in the very unprivate shower and learned how to conceal my self...to think someday this will all be normal to me.
Went to start smart. Got very very VERY bored. No book, no phone, only my imagination, and my grumbling stomach. We finally got to eat after getting into our groups (which Manda B. Is in--Thank goodness) Stood in the sun waiting for lunch for a half hour: Leading to a burn on my face, yeah for maybe getting tanner.notlikely.
We did an activity called "Play Fair" it started with all of us entering a hall of people high fiving through out the gym. Thereafter we sat on the floor and played games in which we learned other peoples names and got to do "first impressions" It was ok but my neck started killing me. Afterwards we split into 2 groups and one went on a campus tour whilst us poor souls got stuck listening to a safety lecture. I could tell I had stayed up late because when the school officer started speaking I took a nap.
Dinner was good. BBQ and all you can eat. FOR FREE (free food. all the rage and whenever you see it it is in CAPS, and BOLDED--- FOOOD! FREE FOOD! It's almost funny until your stomach groans at you and you go "crud no money in my pocket. Guess this means free food (oh wait... FREE FOOD) and lines to wait in for me."
But it was delicious.
The finale of my day was an awesome magic show. it had voodoo (which was scary and worked) card tricks and an assortment of other very enjoyable and comiccal things.
wow, it's late. I spelt comical with two cc's. That must be a goodnight, goodbye and good riddance to me.
So this is Mara, signing out. I love you all.

School. Here I come.

Here I am at School. I have a dorm. A small room with 2 beds. A new roommate and a lack of having a boyfriend close. Plus everyone wants to know what I am up to. So what do you do? You create a blog everyone can laugh at now and years later... IF I am that funny. (I think it's just my face.)

Day 1
Zach picked me up around 9 and we packed, mopped about and finally left around 10. Stopped at Arby's (After Zach saw a Highway Billboard and started thinking Arby's [how ironic]) We finally made it here around 11:30. We began bringing boxes in. My Bishop was there helping us move in, Bishop Harmon thought Zach was my Dad. *Teehe* So I moved in put my signs and pictures up all around and settled in. No roomie...yet. My Mother and sisters came and enjoyed seeing my small dorm room. Yeah. After a very sad parting and many kisses I went and got a free hamburger (Free food is ALL THE RAGE at college. I swear were all starved. Upps just heard my tummy shrink) Then went and watched a dorm saturday movie night of "Tommyboy" Very hilarious. Stake dance afterwards. Mostly standing around. I wanted to meet some new people so I went around introducing myself. I recieved many strange looks. Ended up dancing with a guy named Preston. He wanted to dance a swing, and me having 2 left feet tried to follow and succssesfully got hit in the head with an elbow. I finally climbed in bed at midnight, and was awoken at 6 am but a brilliant sun in my eyes coming through my window. Talk about and enlightening awakenment.
Which would lead us to...

Day 2
Woke up twice before Manda knocked on my door and told me to get up and get ready for church. Church in my mind is the equvillant to the time in my week where I must learn patiences. I really hate sitting in a hard backed chair listening to six speakers. uhwell. it was a stake conference of 2hours. I took a 3 hour nap afterwards. Woke up starving. Ate my mothers delicious granola. Hung with Cassie B. and Manda B. and was hungry again. I ended up at walmart getting food-- cursing myself because I should never shop when I am hungry. I only for ramen, mac and cheese and bread with PB and J. I got home and learned I have a roommate. She seems really nice. Thank goodness not a molly mormon and I believe she is a tongan. She didn't stay the night so I am stuck here with my lap top. It could be enjoyable but I have nothing to do. I am still in my twilight zone. I can't believe I am here. I miss my mom, and my little brothers. I didn't really get to say goodbye. I miss my support Zach. I miss food. Uh well. One day at a time. I love you all.

This is Mara. Heading into tommorrow with a smile. Missing you all. I LOVE YOU ALL.
