First PA with: Philly, Washington D.C., and then the Beach House, LBI, NJ. And we went to Zach's family reunion. Woot Woot! It was near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
and it's all a little crazy so I may get days wrong, but hey it's the memories that count.
2 days drive: my favorite part was when Harley and I were out playing on a dirt road, I picked him up to show him the passing trucks (he loves "Cars") and as we waved one honked in response! (My inner child was VERY please.) With several lunch, and souvenirs stops we made it a 2 day trip. Pros: I sat next to Zach for the most part, read, watched shows, and played word games with the people in the car. Plus we got to harass the other car via Walkie Takie. Cons: Poor car-sick Davidson, and my tailbone really hurt after sitting so long.
1st day there was Zach's Birthday!
Zach turned 19 (happy late birthday love!) We met up with Papa Forciea's family--really awesome people, all the men mostly bald, and had a very enjoyable time, plus Uncle Dave makes EXCELLENT brats. Yum. AND we visited THE BEACH! It was totally wicked. It made me really miss the ocean and being at LBI. I loved watching my nephews play in the water, and how Ciara almost cried at how beautiful the lake was. Really awesome moment, and no warning either. We thought we were hiking a green trail.... and .... there was a lake ahead of us. Awesome.
To close out the night all the women folk went to Jen's baby shower (she is adorable preggers, with a girl on the way!)
2nd Day--Prep for fam-bam reunion, meeting more awesome Forciea clan, and back to the beach. Even though it wasn't as great the 2nd time it was still wonderful going. This time by Ciara's accounts the fish were "mating" which I guess would explain why they were all laying at the surface looking like they were dead. I still put my feet in and helped (a little) with the sand castle. Love Sand.
3rd Day- FORCIEA "Forsha" July. Totally awesome. There at 11, and saw them string the pig to the pole and put it over the coals. It was very nummmmmyyyy later. My most favorite memory was everyone looking at the scrapbooks, I had only seen one picture of the Forciea grandparents, so it was really cool seeing who they were and there beautiful smiles on the pictures. Plus the ooohhhhsss and aaaahhhhhhssss were fun.
Lets see more to cover later:
Brewers Game
The Zoo
Downtown Milwaukee and the museum and library
....and soooo much more.
I love my Forciea Family!
